Special
Foods!
breads from unusual flours
are truly a treat! Each
loaf is made from one
flour only, distilled
water, calcium phosphate
and baking soda. Each
loaf contains one full
pound of flour, and so
the loaves each weigh
1.75- 2 pounds.
The
breads all tend to be
firm when cold; we recommend
heating the bread slightly
before use, this will
change the texture to
soft and pliable. The
loaves come unsliced,
and there is a $1.00 charge
per loaf for slicing,
which we recommend.

WHITE
SWEET POTATO
bread is one of our most
popular breads. Slices of
the bread are golden brown
in color, and are slightly
more moist than wheat breads.
The texture of the bread
is very nice, and the taste
is bland. Available in 1
3/4 pound loaves: $24.05/loaf. |
| MALANGA
bread has a taste that a
lot of people just love,
and a taste that probably
an equal number of people
do not. No one seems to
be on the fence with this
one! Malanga bread slices
are a light tannish brown
color. The texture of the
slices is nice. The taste
is moderately strong, but
all beer lovers seem to
love this bread! Available
in 1 3/4 pound loaves: $28.50/loaf. |
|
| ARROWROOT
is our newest bread, and
already one of our most
popular breads. It has a
pleasant taste and texture
that is really good. Because
of the unusually high amount
of fiber inherent in arrowroot
flour, the bread has a great
texture and consistency.
Price per loaf: $37.60. |
| LOTUS
bread is a brownish-yellow
orange color. It has the
characteristic taste of
lotus -- cheddar cheese
with a hint of lemon. The
taste is not bland, but
is also not unpleasant.
Available in 1 3/4 pound
loaves: $34.55 per loaf. |

CASSAVA
bread is also one of our
most popular breads. Slices
of the bread are white in
color, and the crust is
brown. The texture of the
bread is similar to sweet
potato, but when heating,
it is important not to heat
too much or the bread will
become too soft and gummy.
Cassava bread has a good
flavor. Available in 1 3/4
pound loaves: $26.40/loaf. |
| QUINOA
bread is a dense, more compact
loaf of bread similar to
amaranth. It makes nice
slices and has a pleasant
taste. Available in 1 3/4
pound loaves: $16.80/loaf. |
|

|
AMARANTH
bread is a dense, more compact
loaf of bread than the other
loaves. It makes nice slices,
and has a nice amaranth
taste. Available in 1 3/4
pound loaves: $14.40/loaf. |
| MILO
bread is one of the nicest
tasting breads. It forms
a nice loaf. The only drawback
with the bread is that it
tends to be crumbly. The
slices are sliced as thickly
as necessary to keep the
slices together. Milo bread
also contains salt. Available
in 1 3/4 pound loaves: $14.30/loaf. |

BUCKWHEAT
bread is our darkest bread,
similar in color to a dark
pumpernickel bread. The
texture and consistency
are smooth and uniform.
The taste is a bland, pleasant
flavor. Available in 1 ¾
pound loaves: $18.00/loaf. |
